The successful candidate will play a crucial role in contributing to the financial health of our practice by ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.Responsibilities:• Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information• Investigate and resolve any denied or rejected claims• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients, communicating with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and obtain authorization when necessary• Generate patient statements and invoices, assisting patients with inquiries related to billing and explaining charges and insurance details• Ensure proper coding of medical procedures and diagnoses, staying updated on coding changes and compliance regulations• Post payments accurately to patient accounts, reconciling payments with billed amounts and identifying discrepancies• Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, collaborating with team members to resolve billing issues and discrepancies• Maintain accurate and organized billing records, generating reports on billing activities, including aging reports and revenue analysis• Utilize medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) for efficient processing of billing functions• Provide administrative assistance as needed, ensuring accuracy in data entry and processing of invoices.
